Chesterton & Zoë

Chesterton and Zoë Cobb have conducted academic retreats at the Sinclair House since June 2020.

Born in New York City, Chesterton was unschooled, and studied Economics & Political Philosophy at Grove City College. Zoë—originating from the San Francisco Bay Area—was homeschooled, and studied English & Communications, also at Grove City. Later, she received a Masters in Library Science from San José State University.

After graduating, Chesterton was a Program Director at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and served as 'Chief of Staff' at two large, education-related start-ups (Atlantis Fellowships and Surv). Zoë worked with numerous classical schools—Grove City Christian Academy (Grove City, PA), Veritas Academy (Lancaster, PA), King's Classical Academy (Livermore, CA)—and was faculty at Southern Wesleyan University (South Carolina).

After getting married, Chesterton and Zoë backpacked around the world, exploring more than 45 countries together. For two years, they taught at The King's School, a Cambridge International School in rural Kerala, India. Now they are permanently settled in the Shenandoah Valley in the Sinclair House. Currently, Chesterton teaches History & Philosophy at Redeemer Classical School in Harrisonburg, VA, and Zoë teaches Literature & Writing at St. Patrick Orthodox School in Bealeton, VA.

Chesterton and Zoë have four boys—Tristan, Lachlann, Kennicott, and Dietrich. Pray for them!
